HJC News – Tzav / Shabbos Hagadol

Mazel Tov to Rabbi Yossi and Gila Kirsch on the engagement of their son Moshe to Rivka Weingarden.

Condolences to Gavriel Schneider on the passing of his mother. Gavriel will be returning to Cleveland to sit Shiva at his home, 2237 Green Rd. from Sunday through Wednesday morning.  There will be a Mincha-Maariv minyan at his home Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at 7:40pm.

Kiddush this week is sponsored by Gershon and Mary Ireland in honor of the Alons’ visit.  


I will be available this week to arrange for the sale of Chometz. Forms are available in the office.

Condolences

We regret to inform you of the passing of Jeanette Seltzer, grandmother of Hillel Seltzer. Her funeral will be held tomorrow, Monday March 19, at 11am at Berkowitz-Kumin. Burial will be at Mount Olive Cemetery.  The family will be gathered from after the funeral until after Mincha-Maariv at the home of David and Adina Seltzer, 14341 Washington Blvd. in University Heights.

Mazel Tov to Rabbi Yehuda and Chana Appel on the birth of a grandson, and Harold and Feiga Males, on the birth of a great-grandson, born to Ariel and Haya (Appel) Fishman.

Shalosh Seudos this week is sponsored by Alex and Marina Abramov in memory of Marina’s brother Ephraim Chaim ben Moshe V’Yosepha.   At Shalosh Seudos I will be speaking about Rabbi Schur ZT”L, whose Yohrtzeit is this coming Thursday.

The Shul will be updating its Misheberach List this week.  Only names submitted to the office anew, at office@hjcs.org, will be on the list.  And we will review the list again right before Pesach.

The Shul will be hosting Shabbos Hagodol meals here in the shul, Friday night March 30 and Shabbos Day March 31. Please call the office to RSVP.
