This week at Shalosh Seudos we will speak about the Maggid of Mezritch, whose Yortzeit is the 19th of Kislev.
The first Chanukah Candle is lit this Wednesday night.
Heights Jewish Center will have a Chanukah Luncheon, next Shabbos, December 4 after davening. Please call or email the office to make reservations. There is a charge.
We will have another Ask-The-Rabbi Hot Topics Breakfast on Chanukah Sunday December 5 at 9:15AM. No questions are off limits. The Breakfast is free of charge and open to the entire community. Anyone wishing to sponsor the Breakfast should contact the office or a Shul Officer.

There are many verses in the Torah that have many complementary interpretations. This week’s parsha contains some of those, but also contains verses with mutually exclusive, opposing takes.
For example: Why didn’t Yehudah recognize Tamar?
Was Tamar veiled in her father-in-law’s house? Or was she veiled out in the street?
Did Yehudah continue to live with Tamar as husband and wife? Or did he never know her again?
