Harassing Phone call update

Subject: Harassing Phone call update
Date: Wed, 18 Apr 2018 17:28:46 -0400
From: robert altshuler <raltshuler12

Dear Heights Jewish Center Members, Stakeholders, and Friends,

I am writing to follow-up on the anti-Semitic phone messages incident that occurred in January at Heights. I wanted to let you know that the University Heights Police Department (UHPD) has informed me that the individual responsible for the harassing phone calls has been identified and arrested. He has confessed to carrying out these heinous calls. The detective presiding over the investigation has indicated that there is no apparent larger threat and that the suspect appears to have been acting of his own accord. Further background checks are being conducted to confirm that this threat has no deeper origin.

We plan to pursue legal action against this person to the full extent of the law.

The officers and Executive Board of HJC take everyone’s safety and security very seriously. Over the past three months, we have cooperated closely with UHPD and the Jewish Federation. We are grateful to UHPD for prioritizing our community and handling this unfortunate situation with such care.

We look forward to seeing you at Shul, and we will continue to make your safety and security our priority.

Sincerely,

Rob Altshuler

President, HJCS

Wine for Pesach

Subject: Wine for Pesach
Date: Sun, 11 Mar 2018 18:13:47 -0400
From: robert altshuler <raltshuler12 AT gmail DOT com>

Are you looking for wine for Pesach? Our regular supplier has discontinued distributing Kosher wine.

Fred Bolotin has located a new source for us.

If you are looking for wine (this source does NOT require full case lot orders), this may be your answer. If you e-mail your required wine – Producer, Type, and quantity desired, Fred will respond with your cost before ordering. Payments to Heights Jewish Center Synagogue must be made at the time of placing your order. Paypal orders will require an added 2.7% charge to cover their processing fee to us.

Orders must be sent to Fred at: fbolotin AT yahoo DOT com by March 19, end of day for Fred to verify cost and inventory, and then for shipping to us in time for Pesach. Please plan accordingly.
