HJC News – Korach

Mazel Tov to Michael and Yael Moss on the birth of a boy.  There will be a Shalom Zachor at the Moss home, 4426 Silsby tonight after the Seuda.

This week at Shalosh Seudos, we will continue discussing Chapter 5 of Pirkei Avos, and speak about Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe, whose yohrtzeit is the 3rd of Tammuz.

This Shabbos is Shabbos Mevorchim.  Rosh Chodesh Tammuz is next Shabbos and Sunday.

Shaul Wylen is sitting Shiva at his apartment 2175 Kerwin Apt 308, for his father, until Monday morning. Shacharis there is at 8am on Sunday, and 7am on Monday.  Mincha Maariv on Sunday will be at 8:45pm.

Next Sunday, July 3, Rosh Chodesh Tammuz, we will have our Ask-The-Rabbi Hot Topics breakfast, at 9:15am. Bring your appetites and questions.  Sponsorship of the Breakfast is still open.

Sunday July 17 at 9am, there will be a General Meeting of the Shul Membership at which time breakfast will be served, and at which time the Nominating Committee will make its recommendations for Officers and Board Members ahead of the October Election.  This meeting is the only opportunity for members in good standing to make nominations for the Board or officers.  All members of the Shul are encouraged to attend.

The recordings of the three classes of the recent series “The Phenomenon of Baalei Teshuva – Halacha, Challenges and Successes” are now available online, for listening and download. The internet address is available by request only.

The school year is over and there are many children running and biking and playing all over.  Please drive more carefully than usual, and be especially careful when getting into and out of driveways.   Make sure that your children and grandchildren are especially careful when crossing streets and intersections.

Good Shabbos
Rabbi Davidovich
