HJC News – Chukas

Shalosh Seudos is sponsored by Lena and Shira Katz in memory of their husband and father Sheldon Katz.

The Chabura for married men on the “Garden of Peace” will meet this Shabbos at 6:15pm at the home of Mike and Marion Swirski, 4437 Silsby Rd.

Our Beis Medrash program Is now in session.  In the mornings immediately after Shacharis we are learning Chumash with Rashi, covering about one Aliyah per day of the week’s parsha.  In the evenings a half-hour before Mincha we will learn one chapter of Mishna per day.  All men are encouraged to participate.

The shul is having a Father’s Day BBQ this Sunday, June 20, from Noon to 3pm. We are also looking for volunteers to help.  Please contact Rivah Schlesinger or the office if you are able to help.

Peter and Paula Baum invite everyone to a Vort in honor of the engagement of their daughter Rina to Sender Radcliffe.  The Vort is Sunday from 2 to 5 at their home, 2358 Milton in University Heights.

REMINDER: School is out for the summer.  Kids are playing outdoors.  With so many children running around, and on bicycles and scooters, please exercise extreme caution when backing out of driveways.

Good Shabbos
